Event Design Magazine held a series of creative roundtable discussions about the state of the consumer experiential marketing industry, trends and best practices for 2011. Creative agency heads were invited to discuss the current market challenges and the future of consumer event design. I participated in the discussion that took place in San Francisco, and enjoyed the frank and earnest discussion with some of our best friends and fellow event marketing agencies.

The key points made from all of these discussions are posted on the Event Design site, with topics ranging from the challenges of small budgets and grand designs, compressed timelines, clients' increasing event marketing IQ, and the importance of measurement standardization.
