Hello! My name is Kurt Schieszer and I am the new Spring Intern for Department Zero. I will be graduating in May from the University of Kansas where I am majoring in Marketing and minoring in Leadership Studies. During my time at the holy land of basketball, I have been active in Greek life, LeaderShape and Big Brothers Big Sisters, as well as founding the TEDxKU Club. All of my hard work at KU has brought me to Department Zero, where they let me get my hands dirty in the day-to-day action and drink all their delicious beer. Being conveniently located in downtown Kansas City has allowed for me to indulge in a few of my favorite things: concerts, happy hours and FOOD.
I am excited to be a part of this team because of the innovative marketing strategies that they use. Unlike previous internships that I have had, Department Zero immediately involved me with brainstorms, projects and events. Actively engaging me with hands-on experience has not only given me an enhanced idea of how the team works with the client, but also as to how marketing can be approached and implemented in new ways.
I hope to bring new ideas and inspiration to the team, while absorbing their knowledge and mimicking their dedication over the few months I am here.
